Beber de m\u00e1s no solo deja resacas, tambi\u00e9n acelera el deterioro del cerebro y eleva el riesgo de sufrir hemorragias cerebrales graves antes de tiempo. Adem\u00e1s, las lesiones fueron <strong>70 por ciento m\u00e1s grandes<\/strong> y con <strong>el doble de probabilidades<\/strong> de extenderse hacia \u00e1reas profundas del cerebro o el l\u00edquido cefalorraqu\u00eddeo, lo que puede provocar da\u00f1os neurol\u00f3gicos permanentes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>El alcohol, seg\u00fan los expertos, <strong>aumenta la presi\u00f3n arterial y debilita los vasos sangu\u00edneos cerebrales<\/strong>, lo que facilita su ruptura. Tambi\u00e9n reduce las plaquetas, c\u00e9lulas necesarias para detener las hemorragias, y muestra evidencias de da\u00f1o cerebral cr\u00f3nico.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>El doctor <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/researchers.mgh.harvard.edu\/profile\/3296317\/Edip-Gurol\">Edip Gurol<\/a><\/strong>, autor principal del estudio y profesor asociado en la Facultad de Medicina de Harvard, destac\u00f3 que la hemorragia cerebral <strong>\u201ces una de las condiciones m\u00e1s letales y discapacitantes\u201d<\/strong>. Gurol enfatiz\u00f3 que reducir o eliminar el consumo de alcohol puede <strong>proteger la salud del cerebro y del coraz\u00f3n<\/strong>, y recomend\u00f3 <strong>no superar las tres bebidas por semana<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Aunque los resultados son s\u00f3lidos, los especialistas reconocen que se necesita ampliar el estudio a <strong>poblaciones m\u00e1s diversas<\/strong>, ya que los datos se obtuvieron en un solo hospital.
