En un esfuerzo por\u00a0conservar el jaguar en Hidalgo<\/strong>, el Congreso del Estado<\/a><\/strong> recibi\u00f3 una iniciativa para declarar el\u00a07 de septiembre como D\u00eda del Jaguar en Hidalgo<\/strong>. Esta propuesta busca visibilizar la situaci\u00f3n cr\u00edtica del jaguar, una de las especies m\u00e1s emblem\u00e1ticas y amenazadas del continente americano, y fomentar acciones concretas para la protecci\u00f3n de su h\u00e1bitat natural.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

El diputado Avelino Tovar Iglesias<\/strong>, del Partido Verde Ecologista de M\u00e9xico (PVEM)<\/strong>, present\u00f3 la propuesta, respaldada por Ericka Ortigoza V\u00e1zquez<\/strong>, directora de la Comisi\u00f3n Estatal de Biodiversidad de Hidalgo (COESBIOH)<\/a><\/strong>. Ambos destacaron la importancia de generar conciencia sobre el jaguar, catalogado como\u00a0especie en peligro de extinci\u00f3n<\/strong>\u00a0seg\u00fan la Norma Oficial Mexicana NOM-059-SEMARNAT<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Pacus, el jaguar s\u00edmbolo de la conservaci\u00f3n en Hidalgo<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

La fecha del 7 de septiembre conmemora la muerte de Pacus<\/strong>, un jaguar encontrado gravemente herido en un basurero de Pacula<\/strong> en septiembre de 2024. Pacus<\/strong> sufri\u00f3 heridas por arma de fuego y fue atendido en una fundaci\u00f3n especializada, pero falleci\u00f3 seis d\u00edas despu\u00e9s. Su caso representa los retos de la conservaci\u00f3n del jaguar y la lucha contra la caza furtiva en la regi\u00f3n.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Situaci\u00f3n actual del jaguar en Hidalgo<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Actualmente, solo hay tres jaguares registrados oficialmente en Hidalgo<\/strong>, bajo monitoreo constante de autoridades ambientales y brigadas comunitarias. Aunque se sospecha que existen m\u00e1s ejemplares en zonas remotas, la falta de registros oficiales evidencia la urgencia de proteger esta especie clave para el equilibrio ecol\u00f3gico de los bosques y selvas hidalguenses.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Objetivos del D\u00eda del Jaguar en Hidalgo<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

La declaraci\u00f3n del D\u00eda del Jaguar<\/strong> tendr\u00eda un enfoque educativo, cultural y ambiental para:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    \n
  • Realizar campa\u00f1as de sensibilizaci\u00f3n sobre la conservaci\u00f3n del jaguar.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Promover charlas y actividades en escuelas.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Organizar jornadas de reforestaci\u00f3n y eventos comunitarios.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Reforzar la legislaci\u00f3n contra la caza furtiva y el tr\u00e1fico ilegal de fauna silvestre.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Proteger el h\u00e1bitat natural del jaguar en Hidalgo.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n
