<strong>Procuradur\u00eda Federal de Protecci\u00f3n al Ambiente (Profepa)<\/strong> lanz\u00f3 un <strong>llamado urgente a la ciudadan\u00eda<\/strong> para <strong>no comprar ni regalar animales silvestres<\/strong>, una pr\u00e1ctica que fomenta el <strong>tr\u00e1fico ilegal de especies<\/strong> y constituye un <strong>delito ambiental castigado por las leyes mexicanas<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>La dependencia federal advirti\u00f3 que esta conducta representa una grave amenaza para la <strong>biodiversidad en M\u00e9xico<\/strong>, uno de los pa\u00edses con mayor riqueza natural del mundo, y record\u00f3 que los <strong>animales silvestres no son mascotas<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-trafico-ilegal-de-especies-un-delito-ambiental-en-mexico\"><strong>Tr\u00e1fico ilegal de especies: Un delito ambiental en M\u00e9xico<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>De acuerdo con <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.gob.mx\/profepa\">Profepa<\/a><\/strong>, durante <strong>2025<\/strong> se reforzaron las campa\u00f1as de concientizaci\u00f3n dirigidas a la poblaci\u00f3n para evitar la compra y venta ilegal de <strong>fauna y flora silvestre<\/strong>, especialmente en \u00e9pocas de alta demanda como <strong>Navidad y fin de a\u00f1o<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Entre las especies que com\u00fanmente se comercializan de manera ilegal como regalos destacan:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Reptiles<\/strong> (serpientes, iguanas, tortugas)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Tar\u00e1ntulas y otros ar\u00e1cnidos<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Psit\u00e1cidos<\/strong>, como <strong>guacamayas, loros y pericos<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Tucanes<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Primates<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>La Profepa subray\u00f3 que <strong>adquirir estas especies constituye un delito federal<\/strong>, adem\u00e1s de incentivar redes criminales dedicadas al tr\u00e1fico de vida silvestre.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-cada-animal-regalado-es-arrancado-de-su-habitat-profepa\"><strong>\u201cCada animal regalado es arrancado de su h\u00e1bitat\u201d: Profepa<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>La dependencia ambiental explic\u00f3 que <strong>extraer fauna y flora silvestre de su entorno natural<\/strong> tiene consecuencias devastadoras no solo para el ejemplar, sino para todo el ecosistema.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p><strong><em>\u201cCada ejemplar entregado como regalo es arrancado de su h\u00e1bitat, lo que significa la ruptura de un sistema completo: se afectan las cadenas ecol\u00f3gicas y se reduce la capacidad de las poblaciones para recuperarse\u201d<\/em><\/strong>, advirti\u00f3 Profepa.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p>El impacto ambiental es a\u00fan mayor cuando se trata de especies que viven en <strong>grupos o comunidades<\/strong>, ya que su ausencia altera la estructura social y reproductiva de la especie.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-leer-mas-alerta-por-sarampion-en-chiapas-obliga-a-cancelar-eventos-masivos-cuantos-casos-hay\"><strong><em>Leer de los animales mueren por tr\u00e1fico ilegal<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Uno de los datos m\u00e1s alarmantes difundidos por la Profepa es que <strong>aproximadamente el 70% de los animales silvestres mueren<\/strong> durante las etapas de <strong>captura, acopio, traslado y comercializaci\u00f3n ilegal<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Durante estos procesos, los ejemplares enfrentan:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Altos niveles de estr\u00e9s<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Deshidrataci\u00f3n<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Lesiones f\u00edsicas<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Condiciones insalubres<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Muerte prematura<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Adem\u00e1s, la extracci\u00f3n ilegal se enfoca principalmente en <strong>ejemplares j\u00f3venes<\/strong>, lo que disminuye dr\u00e1sticamente la <strong>tasa de reproducci\u00f3n<\/strong> y pone en riesgo la supervivencia de especies completas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-animales-silvestres-no-sobreviven-como-mascotas\"><strong>Animales silvestres no sobreviven como mascotas<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>La Profepa recalc\u00f3 que los <strong>hogares humanos no son espacios adecuados<\/strong> para animales silvestres, ya que suelen carecer de las condiciones m\u00ednimas necesarias para su bienestar.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Entre los principales problemas que enfrentan al llegar a un domicilio se encuentran:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Espacios reducidos<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Climas inadecuados<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Falta de higiene<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Dietas incorrectas<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Ausencia de est\u00edmulos naturales<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Estas condiciones provocan <strong>enfermedades, depresi\u00f3n y muerte<\/strong>, incluso en aquellos ejemplares que logran sobrevivir al tr\u00e1fico ilegal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-llamado-a-la-ciudadania-denuncia-y-consumo-responsable\"><strong>Llamado a la ciudadan\u00eda: Denuncia y consumo responsable<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>La Profepa exhort\u00f3 a la poblaci\u00f3n a <strong>no comprar, no regalar y no extraer flora o fauna silvestre<\/strong> de los lugares que visitan, e invit\u00f3 a <strong>denunciar<\/strong> cualquier actividad relacionada con el comercio ilegal de especies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Asimismo, record\u00f3 que la <strong>protecci\u00f3n de la biodiversidad es responsabilidad de todos<\/strong> y que un regalo responsable en
