Colegas de la escritora y editora M\u00f3nica Maristain<\/strong> la encontraron sin vida la tarde del 16 de diciembre de 2025. Llamaron al 911 para el levantamiento de cuerpo, pero como no son familiares no pudieron recibir su cuerpo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

El gremio dio aviso a las autoridades tanto de las secretar\u00edas de Cultura como de Relaciones Exteriores, as\u00ed como al Mecanismo de Protecci\u00f3n de Protecci\u00f3n a los Periodistas. Tambi\u00e9n busc\u00f3 a sus familiares, quienes viven en Argentina<\/strong>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

La Feria Internacional del Libro (FIL) de Guadalajara confirm\u00f3 el fallecimiento de la autora, quien public\u00f3 este a\u00f1o su libro Leer\u00e9 hasta mi muerto<\/em>, de la editorial Lince.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u00bfQui\u00e9n era la escritora y editora M\u00f3nica Maristain?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

La autora naci\u00f3 en Concepci\u00f3n del Uruguay, Argentina, y lleg\u00f3 a M\u00e9xico en el 2000. Desde entonces se consolid\u00f3 como una figura clave de la difusi\u00f3n cultural de M\u00e9xico<\/strong> y Am\u00e9rica Latina<\/strong> gracias a sus colaboraciones en diversos medios de comunicaci\u00f3n.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Entre los diferentes espacios informativos donde colabor\u00f3 M\u00f3nica Maristain destacaron La Naci\u00f3n<\/em>, P\u00e1gina 12<\/em>, Clar\u00edn<\/em>, Playboy<\/em> M\u00e9xico y Sin Embargo<\/em>, donde estuvo a cargo del suplemento literario. Tambi\u00e9n form\u00f3 parte de las filas de las agencias internacionales EFE y DPA.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dentro de su obra literaria cuenta con m\u00faltiples libros como son La \u00daltima Entrevista a Roberto Bola\u00f1o y otras charlas con grandes escritores<\/em>, Los mexicanos ejemplares<\/em>, El hijo de m\u00edster playa<\/em>, El \u00faltimo \u00e1rbol<\/em> y Leer\u00e9 hasta mi muerte<\/em>, entre otros.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
